Biometrics is the measurement and analysis of people's physical characteristics. Since biometric data is unique to each individual and often used to identify individuals, biometrics authentication, as a form of identification and access control, is rising.
The implementation of trending biometric technology is all around us, expanding quickly and becoming a part of ordinary life. From an original primary criminal identification usage, Biometric technology is presently the most complete solution that offers logical, as well as physical, security in an ideal balance of security and user convenience.
Today, there is a diverse market, thriving trends and applications for biometric technology, most of which seem to be growing rapidly. Contactless biometric technologies used in airports, smart building, military applications or enterprises are also becoming increasingly popular among everyday consumers.
How Biometrics May Be Key In Security is doubtless and ZKTeco can help manufacturers and integrators to easily upgrade their existing product offer to the highest security level that biometrics technology can provide with seamless integration of biometric modules.

Today INIM offers an integration of systems that includes emergency lighting and fire detection, with a unique control panel and a single BUS for both systems. This feature allows the creation of such systems in less time and at a reduced cost. The 2 apparatuses, emergency luminaires and fire detection can interact to increase their potential and functionality; for example in case of fire you can turn on the signaling lamps and emergency lamps to indicate and illuminate a specific escape route. A feature currently offered exclusively by INIM.

An open, digital, and prosperous world requires a secure and trustworthy digital environment that meets the challenges of today and tomorrow. Trust and security are not something you unilaterally declare but something you gain along a fruitful journey with your partners and customers. We believe that 3rd parties have an crucial role to play in this journey. For instance, beyond creating a level playing field for an industry, standards and certifications are vital to establishing trust.
Moreover, software development involves many different and evolving practices. We use software in a myriad of different contexts: lifecycles, sensitivity levels, coding languages, etc. Still, we need to ensure that the lines of code we produced are secured before being into production and along the customer products lifecycle. In this multifaceted landscape, 3rd party have also an important role to play. The ICT and security solution provider should not be afraid of more transparency and openness, even it requires in some cases that the source code is reviewed by external party. Security by obscurity has never been the right choice.
In the face of increasing numbers of cyber security challenges, Huawei has always accepted to take on its role as leading global ICT solution provider and to be evaluated against the highest security standards and certifications. We also promoted disruptive initiatives such as the creation of first Cyber Security Transparency Centre in Brussels and in-house pentesting department against its own R&D teams.
